In-Studio: Please plan to arrive 10-15 minutes prior to your session in order to have a quick intake before getting started.
Mobile: Expect arrival 10-15 minutes prior to your appointment time. This time allows me to set up and get ready to perform the massage. If you would like an earlier arrival time, please state so upon scheduling.
Upon arrival if you do not answer the door or your phone, I will wait up to 15 minutes (deducted from massage time once started). After 15 minutes the appointment is marked as a no show and the card on file is charged.
Two no show appointments will result in the inability to book future sessions.
If your appointment is delayed due to my tardiness, the full massage will be given if time allows for it. If time does not allow, then the client will receive a discount in accordance with the amount of time delayed.
Time is valuable. Your appointment is specifically for you, so please be courteous and respect mine.
If you need to cancel for any reason, the fees are as follows:
Half Charge - Notice given less than 24 hours in advance
Full Charge - Notice given less than 4 hours in advance
All fees will be due when booking your next session.
Failure to pay the required cancellation fee will result in a balance due and will need to be satisfied before booking future sessions.
Prior to each massage session, the treatment plan will be discussed with you. When booking your first appointment, you will receive a link with a medical intake form. Please fill out this form and sign it the day before your appointment.
Massage therapy is a form of medical wellness. Your medical history is important and can reveal whether or not massage is indicated for you or if modifications need to be made.
Clients will sign and receive an updated form each year. Failure to complete the required documentation will result in cancellation of your appointment. Please answer all questions truthfully.
Your information will not be discussed with anyone without a signed medical release document.
It is the responsibility of the client to keep the therapist informed of any medical treatment or prescription medications being taken.
During your first appointment, your health history will be assessed. This is an important process that determines the course of treatment to best meet your needs.
In some cases, you may be asked to provide a written release from your physician in order to receive massage therapy.
Each massage is unique and customized to your specific needs. I am happy to adjust pressure, speed, work longer on an area, or move on at your request. The session time is all about you, so please let me know your preferences.
You may leave on as much clothing as needed for your comfort, refuse any massage methods, or stop the massage at any time.
During traditional massage sessions, clients are draped with sheets and/or towels and only the body part being worked on will be undraped. Breasts and genitals are never to be exposed or massaged.
Sessions include the use of hypoallergenic oils, creams, and lotions to reduce friction on the skin. In some cases, essential oils may be added to the basic carrier oils to enhance the therapeutic effects of massage. The client will always be informed of any essential oils to be used, their benefits, and any risks of allergic reaction.
You may choose to talk or not talk during your massage. Conversation will be guided by the client. Any health information disclosed, observed, or treated will be kept confidential under HIPAA law.
It is recommended that you shower or bathe prior to your appointment.
Before and after each massage, the therapist’s hands and forearms will be washed with hot soapy water and a disinfecting solution. Any breaks in the skin will be covered with protective coverings.
All linens and/or equipment are cleansed and sanitized before and after each use.
I have the right to refuse clients for any reason. You have the right to refuse my services for any reason.
